The vet, Angela Sims (Caroline Quentin) is also a patient of Doctor Martin Ellingham. Finally, Doc Martin brings the dog to the vet. The dog starts to whimper and acts very lethargic. This starts out early in this new Doc Martin episode. Louisa Glasson Ellingham (Caroline Catz) worries over Buddy the dog’s behavior. But it’s Buddy the dog that steals the Doc Martin screen on episode 7. This latest episode titled, “Single White Bevy”, is the latest episode from Season 9 of this British hit show. There is a lot of love there, but the communication between them is very messed up.” “They are both people who are actually very principled, which shows in the decisions they made. I really admired her for that, and also him for making that decision. “She realised it wouldn’t be honest to marry somebody you wanted to change. The jilting at the altar was a bit of an act of facing up to the fact that she wouldn’t be honestly and truthfully going into the marriage without the hope of him being different. “We have seen her for three series attempting to change him. But I think it was very realistic of them to realise that wasn’t going to be possible. The fantasy was running off into the sunset, getting married and living happily ever after. “But I always felt that it was a noble choice that they both made and it was really true to both of their characters and the way their relationship had developed all along. It took us right there to the edge and then they took it all away.’ They felt really cheated. They were saying, ‘Why can’t they get together? It’s so disappointing. People at my son’s school told me how disappointed they were that the wedding didn’t go ahead. “Viewers were cross that Louisa and the doc didn’t get married. “Deep down, it’s probably comforting to know that he’ll be around, even though she doesn’t expect them to get back together again.”Īnd those furious fans? They started coming up to her in the street just after the final episode of series three. “She comes back because she wants to set up a life in a familiar place in her own home town where she feels that she’s got maybe a bit more of a support network than being on her own in London as a single mum.
